‘Stranger Things’ actor Noah Schnapp finally comes out that he belongs to LGBT community

Noah Schnapp, well known for his role as the closeted gay kid Will Byers on “Stranger Things,” has revealed that he is gay.

On Friday, Jan. 6, the American actor used to his own Tiktok profile to share his coming-out video with followers. Schnapp was seen lying down on what seemed to be a bed, lip-syncing the lyrics, “You know what it never was? That grave.”

Schnapp’s video also contained the text, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared and in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘We know.’”

The “Stranger Things” star also paid homage to Will in the caption of his post. “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought,” he said.

Schnapp previously confirmed Will is gay in a July 2022 exclusive interview with Variety, where he admitted initially dodging questions about the character’s sexuality because he doesn’t want to spoil his arc in the series.

Noah Schnapp, best known for portraying closeted gay teen Will Byers on “Stranger Things,” has come out as gay.

The American actor took to his personal Tiktok page on Friday, Jan. 6, to share his coming-out video to fans. The video showed Schnapp lying down on what appears to be a bed, as he lip-synced the words, “You know what it never was? That serious.”

“I didn’t know where the Duffers wanted to go with this character. So I was kind of figuring it out along with the audience… Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it’s 100% clear that he is gay and he does love Mike. But before, it was a slow arc. I think it is done so beautifully because it’s so easy to make a character just all of a sudden be gay,” Schnapp said in the report.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is currently the most-watched English-language series on streaming platform Netflix in its first 28 days. The fifth and final season, which stars Schnapp, Millie Bobbie Brown and Winona Ryder, will reportedly consist of eight episodes.
