    Description

    A sterling silver syrup or milk pitcher by Gorham in the Egyptian style with a three dimensional sphynx finial, three sphynx on the feet and a mask on the handle.  The lid is hinged and there is engraved decoration above the hinge and on the body.  Height 9 1/4" to the top of the handle and 6" to the spout.  Weight 18.90 troy oz.  Very good condition with one minor shallow crease on the body measuring about 1/4".  Never monogrammed. The inside looks like it has never been used.  Marked lion, anchor, G, sterling, B which is the Gorham date letter for 1869 and number 2.
