Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver REPOUSSE Pitcher

This listing is for a STUNNING 19th Century American Sterling Silver water pitcher featuring a chased Repousse design in high relief with stylized leaves and flowers around the upper edge and the lower body of the pitcher.  The spout is also elaborately decorated. The silver is marked "Sterling, 166" and with the old stamp for Dominick & Haff, a New York silver company who operated from 1872-1928 when the company was absorbed into Reed & Barton.  Silver is also marked with the retailer's name "Tilden, Thurber & Co." who were high-end retailers in Providence, RI from 1880-1892 who sold Dominick & Haff silver items.
Measures 7" high, 8 3/4" wide with a 4 3/8" diameter base. Weighs an incredible 915 grams or 32 ounces.
This gorgeous pitcher is from my own personal silver collection and was purchased years ago from a New York Estate.  It has been lovingly cared for and is in excellent Estate condition with no dents, dings or scratches on the body although there are a some no-harm scratches on the bottom.
